MOUNTAINEERING CHAMPIONSHIPS

FOR YEAR 2011

 

Dear fellow mountaineers,

THERE ARE SOME ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES!!

We thank Tallink Group for kind support, but for convenience to our guests locations for Jury Meeting and Award Ceremony is changed.  Also accommodation possibility is closer to city center.

Balticum 2011 will be held in Tallinn on 21st of January 2012.

Championship award ceremony is going to take place inTravel Restaurant  Toompuiestee 37, Tallinn. (http://www.travelrestoran.ee).  Address is Toompuiestee 37 Tallinn, Estonia. This is Tallinn Railway station.

Timetable:
12.00 – 15.00 – Judges review and rank the reports to determine the winners. Route reports that are not sent in electronic form should be submitted at the latest by 12:00. Location will be GO Hotel Shnelli, Toompuiestee 37. (http://www.gohotels.ee/index.php?id=1735) We meet at 12:00 in the lobby.
12.30 – 17.00 – For those who are intrested we offer ice climbing “clinic” in Väo quarry. Climbing equipment, transport to quarry and washing possibilities will be provided. Please inform us beforehand, if you would like to go ice climbing.
18:00 – ….. Championships award ceremony.
Detailed schedule will be published later. The participants shall cover all costs related to the participation in the championship. The participation cost will 17 euros. Fee can be paid in cash at the spot or to the account of  MTÜ Matkamise ja Mägironimise Edendamise Klubi no 221031047183 in Swedbank.
Two members of the Jury from each country and the Presidents of the national mountaineering associations shall be exempt from the fee. Please inform us about your participation until 14th of January 2012.
We encourage participants to submit, reports, presentations and videos on last year’s climbs or earlier climbs.
Accommodation CHANGED!!
GO Hotel Shnelli offers for participants of Balticum 2011 special rates in GO Hotel Shnelli.
Double room rate is 38 euros. (for two persons).
Price includes accommodation, breakfast buffet, parking and WIFI (incl. VAT). Please inform us if you wish to book a room. You may be subject to other special discounts offered at the website of the hotel.
